Now Hiring: Horticulture Extension Agent We are hiring a Horticulture Agent to lead educational programming related to commercial landscapes, home lawn care, and ornamentals here in Johnson County. This agent will also manage the Johnson County Extension Master Gardeners, a thriving program made up of 492 volunteers who maintain nine community demonstration gardens. Applications are due May 14. A test gives you accurate information about the type and amount of fertilizer or amendment to apply. Applying proper amounts decreases runoff that can pollute waterways. This protects the environment and saves you money. A soil test measures pH and available nutrients.Johnson County homeowners are eligible to receive one free test (Package #1) per household per calendar year.
