Now Hiring: Horticulture Extension Agent We are hiring a Horticulture Agent to lead educational programming related to commercial landscapes, home lawn care, and ornamentals here in Johnson County. This agent will also manage the Johnson County Extension Master Gardeners, a thriving program made up of 492 volunteers who maintain nine community demonstration gardens. Applications are due May 14. A test gives you accurate informa­tion about the type and amount of fertilizer or amendment to apply. Applying proper amounts decreases runoff that can pollute waterways. This protects the envi­ronment and saves you money. A soil test measures pH and available nutrients.Johnson County homeowners are eligible to receive one free test (Package #1) per household per calendar year.
